Island, and have the very highest regard for him. He is a gentleman of the old school, who takes obvious pleasure
in the work that he does, and whose word one can count on at all times. As a well-known community member, he

Jorge is also a consummate professional in his work as a master piano restorer, and is widely known not only for

Jorge Lago has maintained and tuned our two pianos for over twenty years. During that extended period of time, we have
put his skills to the test!
He is a particularly skilled piano restorer and made a major repair to our concert-grand Schiedmayer piano. We had a leak
in our ceiling and the water migrated to the sound board of the piano, cracking it in several places and causing major damage
to the mechanics inside the keyboard. In addition, some of the lacquer finish needed to be repaired. Jorge restored the
piano to better-than-new shape and it has given us many years of enjoyment ever since, thanks to his excellent and
professional craftsmanship.
We heartily recommend Jorge Lago for all your piano needs!

Jorge Lago has worked with our family for many years on several different pianos. He is a superb technician. He knows
and loves pianos and is a font of information on their restoration and care. His triumph for us was the rescue of a beloved
piano from childhood. It had been moved many times, landing eventually in our East End home where it was exposed to
the ravages of our inner and outer climate : hot forced air heat in the winter, musty damp conditions in the summer. With
his advice and attention, it is now in excellent shape and on a simple health care maintenance program. We are delighted!
Jorge is also very practical and cost conscious, recommending options where they exist and implementing changes
gradually. And he is extremely reliable. When he proposes a course of action, it is carried out on exactly the projected
schedule at exactly the project ed cost. We recommend him without reservation.
